Hook generator

The first line decides whether anyone reads the rest. Enter a topic and get eight openings in eight different styles.

What makes a hook work

A strong hook does one of three things: it names a specific tension, it promises a payoff worth the scroll, or it says something the reader half-disagrees with. Vague openings ("Here are some thoughts on productivity") lose because they ask for attention before earning it.

How to test hooks

Write three, post the strongest, and keep the others for the same idea a month later. Track which style wins for your audience — most accounts have one or two that reliably outperform.
